Ringette, like hockey, is played on ice with skates and sticks with five players and a goalie per team. The objective is to score goals by shooting the object of play into the opposing team's net during stop-time periods of play.  But this is where the comparisons between ringette and hockey end.  The stick is straight, the object being pursued by the players is a rubber ring, not a puck, and there is no intentional body contact and the rules of ringette make it a wide-open and dynamic sport.  The emphasis is on teamwork, play-making, skating speed and agility.

Ringette has become one of Canada’s favourite activities for over 50,000 participants including players, coaches, officials and volunteers, across Canada. It is primarily a female sport but now has over 700 male players – a remarkable growth rate for such a young sport.

The Saskatoon Saints is Saskatoon’s U14AA team. Funds raised will be used for ice time, athlete development and team travel to make participation in this level of ringette affordable for these young athletes!
