Narrow, grey-green leaves emerge from the base. Flowering occurs from late winter to early spring. Plant the bulbs in autumn in humus-rich, cool but well-drained soil, in spring sun or partial shade. Hardy to zone 3 according to Van Noort, it is suitable for light woodland gardens, cool borders, and naturalized groups. Allow its foliage to yellow naturally after flowering.
