  • Dutch iris 'Picasso' produces large, elegant flowers in late spring on upright stems about 50 cm tall. The upper purple petals dominate the golden-yellow sepals, finely veined with purple, creating a bright and graphic contrast.
  • The narrow, upright green foliage complements this refined silhouette without weighing down the planting. Presented in packs of 10 bulbs (size 8/9), this cultivar is suitable for sunny borders, naturalized groups in well-drained soil, and cut flowers. Its blooms fill the gap between small, early spring bulbs and the first summer perennials.

Plant the bulbs in autumn, about 8 cm deep and 8 cm apart, with the pointed end facing upwards. Choose full sun or bright partial sun in loose, fertile, and very well-drained soil; waterlogging during dormancy promotes rot. Group at least ten bulbs together for a consistent vertical display. Water after planting to settle the soil, then allow seasonal rains to support root development. Resume moderate watering in spring if the soil becomes dry during growth. When planting in pots, use a deep container with drainage holes and protect it from overwatering in winter.
