  • Narcissus 'Falconette' is a highly fragrant Rockgarden Daffodil featuring bright yellow petals and striking orange-red centres.
  • Key Plant Features
    • Blooms: Bright yellow petals with deep orange-red cups, featuring up to eight small flowers on each stem.
    • Height: Grows short, reaching about 10 to 14 inches tall.

    Planting
    • Timing: Plant the flower bulbs outdoors in the autumn (September to December) before the ground freezes.
    • Depth and Spacing: Place bulbs pointy-end up about 10 to 15 cm (4 to 6 inches) deep and roughly 10 cm apart.
    • Soil: Use well-draining soil with a neutral to slightly acidic pH. Avoid using “top dressings of mint compost, horse manure, chicken droppings, mushroom compost, other 'hot' manure, garden compost, household compost or commercial soil amendments for Narcissus flower bulb planting holes or beds.
    Water and Sunlight
    • Sunlight: Choose a location that receives at least 6 hours of sunlight daily ensures healthy blooms.
    • Watering: Provide moist soil during their active growth period in spring. Water deeply once a week, ensuring the soil remains consistently damp but not waterlogged.” Reduce watering after blooms fade. 
    Maintenance
    • Pruning: Always remove spent flower heads to prevent seed production. Leave the green leaves intact until they turn yellow and die back naturally so they can feed the bulb for next year.
    • Hardiness: Falconette grows up to 40 cm (16 inches) tall, is deer resistant, and is winter hardy down to Zone 3.
