    Aglaonema commutatum 'Sliver Bay'
    Chinese Evergreen

Contrary to its name, Chinese Evergreen is not a conifer, but a tropical plant prized for its striking foliage!

    Chinese Evergreen Care:

    LIGHT

    Medium, indirect to low light
    • Cannot withstand full sun.

    WATER

    Medium water needs
    • Maintain even moisture throughout the soil. Do not allow to dry completely, nor to sit in any excess water!

    CLIMATE

    Warm & humid conditions
    • Consistent room temperature and high humidity are key! Avoid drafts, vents, or heat sources.

    SOIL

    Well-draining soil
    • A rich, well-draining potting mix is ideal, with substrates like peat, sand, and perlite.

    FERTILIZER

    During the growing season
    • Use a liquid or slow-release tropical fertilizer sparingly: only once or twice, during the growing season (at the beginning and end), at a diluted concentration.

Fun Fact: Chinese Evergreens are slow-growing, and will rarely need to be repotted! As a general rule, the lighter the variegation of the foliage, the more sunlight is needed (but never direct!).

To Note: Chinese Evergreens are toxic to dogs and cats when ingested.
